I am trying to post in the general nursing forum and it says "characters not allowed", what does this mean?
Hello sunflower93. Welcome to allnurses.com
We apologize for all of the frustration.
Recently, in order to cut down on spammers, we had to make some changes on the site that may affect the user experience.
Sometimes the issue in not being able to post is because members use emoji's that are outside the English language set which are flagged indicating the possibility of spam. And, sometimes the characters that are used (quotation marks, etc.) will be flagged indicating the possibility of spam.
If you think this does not relate to you, please let us know in the Admin Office
(a private area to discuss site issues with Administrators). Start a request ticket for assistance.
If you make the changes (removing characters as described above) but continue to have problems, please go to the Admin Office
, start a request ticket, and detail the exact error messages received. Also, tell Admins which browser you are using (IE, Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.). We will get our Tech Admin to troubleshoot the problem.
