Odd formatting when using quote function

  1. I find that when I use the quote button and in my reply put the cursor beneath the quoted text, the first line will not let me space between the words. To mitigate this I've been typing a few letters then hitting the return so that the subsequent text is correct. An example of this is in one of my posts on the thread "Old bats will remember"

Only Crusty Old Bats will remember..

It's happening mg to me too. The only way I can fix it is to type a few words then delete them then re-type them and it seems to work.

it doesn't happen to everyone but this issue has been reported on other sites as well

there's been reports of a bug in Chrome when spacing using the quickreply

have you tried using another browser??

I'm sure Google will update Chrome soon. We just have to wait.

In the meantime, I'd appreciate if you keep me updated. (When bug goes away.)

I've discovered that if you quote a post using the Quote button on the original post, not by cutting and pasting, when you start typing your reponse the spacebar is disabled.

    1) Type one word, hit return, continue on that next line; when done, just delete back to end your your first word, and all set

    2) Typeseveralwords and then go back and insert spaces (PIA)

    3) Type your response, and then go back, find what you wanted to quote, copy it, and use the Insert Quote feature in the new window

Or.... maybe somebody could fix this bug? I've seen a few people report it.

It's a bug in Google Chrome. (I'm assuming that's what you are using.)

For some reason, the focus is gone.

The trick is to move the cursor out of the editor. (Just click outside the editor and back in)

Wow, this is the first time that I've had it happen to me. I was wondering what was going on.
