Shut off at 75 Questions but got last answer wrong

Published

Hello guys!

My exam shut down at 75 and I know I got my last answer wrong. I don’t know why but I felt like exam was easy. I got 10-14 SATA, 2 calculations and lots of priorities.
what does this mean?? Maybe passed or failed really badly??

I heard if exam was easy that means not good.

Answering the last question wrong only plays a factor when you have answered all 265 questions.

NCLEX computer looks at the last 60 questions. It is looking for you to remain in a narrow band above the passing line (looks like V Fib waveform). If you dip below the line or you're all over the place answering questions (looks like V Tach waveform) then you keep getting more questions until your last 60 questions smooths out, run out of time, or run out of questions. If you run out of time, it looks at the last 60 questions. If you are above the line all 60 questions (regardless of the pattern) you pass. If you run out of questions, it looks at the last question. If question 265 puts you or keeps you above the pass line, you pass. It is possible to answer question 265 wrong and still pass. As long as answering question 265 wrong doesn't cause you to dip below the pass line, you pass.

Thank you for the information. So nervous right now.

When I took NCLEX I was sure I failed because it shut off at 75 and only took an hour plus I thought it was too easy and there was no way I passed. I waited and later found out that I did pass and this was 3 years ago.
