How did you get your ER position?

For all those ER/Trauma nurses, how do you manage to get a Trauma RN position immediately after nursing school? My passion is trauma, and am very interested in working in a Level 1 Trauma Center, and will graduate in a few months with my RN.

I got my ER position, because there was lots of staff leaving at the same time.

It would depend on the hospital. Having your CEN without experience only demonstrates that you are a good test taker, not that you are ready for the ER. But it also shows that you are motivated. There are new grad residencies out there for people who have zero experience.
