New Pain Management Practice

Hi, my name is Jackie Adames I work for a new pain management practice but we are lacking policies and procedures? I was wondering if someone as a professional courtesy would be willing to share these with me from your office? I'd be forever grateful.

My email is in profile.

Or would you know where I could purchase some?

the procedures we will be doing are Lumbar, caudal ESI's, rhizotomies, facet blocks, ablations, periperal nerve blocks, etc.....

This is all so new to me since I've been a Gastroenterology nurse since 2000 right out of nursing school.

If you e-mail me and would like to speak to me personally I'll give you my contact no.

thanks again!!!

Hi Maggie,

Thanks for your kindness. :D I work in Arizona. My email is [email protected]. This will likely save me quite a bit of work and help me focus on other fires so please know that you are truly helping me out.

Take care,

Dan

I will send a few today and then check with you to make sure you are able to open them without any problems. :clown: I am not very good and may send some a couple of time if I get distracted here. Also I will send the procedures we do here and that will cover most of yours. If you have any problems just let me know. :wink2: Maggie

Hi Maggie,

You are the awesome-ist! (my own word) :redbeathe

Thanks again!

Dan

:imbar That is sweet, I wished someone had been there when I did these years ago but I am willing to spare the pain for others. I have sent some so please check to see if you can open them. :typing Most of the information can just be cut and paste to your policy header. Wishing you well, Maggie

If you guys are still sharing I would be interested in recieveing some information on your policies and procedures as well. I was just hired into a clinic that is lacking all of the above and I defiantely think that it would be helpfull. Please let me know! Thanks:D

Hi.

Emerging Solutions in Pain (www.emergingsolutionsinpain.com) is a great web site for clinician resources. They have a section that you can visit from the home page that is devoted just to nurses (free CNE programs, FAQs, Resource Links, etc). Membership and programs are all free!

Under Tools tab (from home page), they have many forms for assessment and monitoring that you can use in a practice setting. Hope this information helps.

You post is several months old....but if you haven't already found it try going to the American Society for Pain Management Nursing site ( www.aspmn.org) and they have an email list serve that has thousands of pain management specialists throughout the North American continent on it. They are usually very willing to share all sorts of information.

Dear Maggie,

I am desperately in need of your help. We r in the process of starting up a pain center and was assigned to write a policy and procedure for scope of service from scratch. Would it be too much for u to allow me to see the policies and procedures that u came up with?:uhoh3:
