What i do in my own time is my business unless it comes to my job or affects my job.
I agree, but I have to say that I've seen a lot of nurses with 'issues' who could not keep their 'issues' from interfering with their work.............and the one's who weren't responsible in private, didn't really seem to get the idea at work either.
I dont suppose she will she return to nursing post Big Brother anyway they all seem to get rish and famous for doing nothing. Look at Abi Tittmuss she is an ex nurse who dated a british celeb ( questionable) it was discovered he had a debatable past sexual history and she became famous. :smackingf what a waste of space she is.
I do however enjoy my time off work with a drink or two with my friends and family but it does not impair my nursing. But I am not flaunting it on TV.
Hmmm, does this mean that I might be struck off because I am overweight, or forget to clean my teeth once? How far do we extend the role of nurse - every waking minute?
Whilst this person can be perceived as irresponsible, and silly and short-sighted doing this kind of stuff on national TV, has she really brought nursing into disrepute? :uhoh21:

should nurses' license to practice depend on modeling responsible health conduct when clearly not working?

nurses: kick out sex-mad makosi
july 8, 2005 -- today the sun (u.k.) ran a short, unsigned piece reporting that a group of nurses is calling for a young cardiac nurse to be "struck off" the list of licensed nurses by the nurses and midwifery council because she appeared to have had "unsafe sex" during a "boozy orgy" on the u.k. reality show "big brother." this situation raises interesting issues about nurses' professional obligations away from their main work settings, including any duties to model responsible public health conduct or conform to a particular moral code....
