I graduated from highschool with a 97.5% GPA, but I am now in my freshman year and I have an 87.2% GPA. I'm so used to getting straight A's and I feel that the only thing I had going for me (knowledge) is gone. I don't know if this is considered conventional, and I'd like to know if marks really matter in college.

If you want to continue your education some day, yes.

Yes, they can still matter. Are you already in the nursing program? If not, some nursing programs use your grades for entry criteria. Also, if you plan to continue your education, many programs have grade requirements for entry.

Trust me 87 is not that bad at all. However, do not get anything lower.
