Hello there,
You need to cover all topics so that there are no gaping holes in your knowlege base. Drugs is just 13%-19% they'll ask the drugs in the medsurg context, patient safety, etc. I luckily only got aroud 5. do not memorize unless that's your strong point. You want to understand how that type of drug category works, see how it effects the rest of the body then you can for the most part predict the major side effects, memorize special contraindications, memorize a few of the common drug names and its antidotes along with interventions in case of overdose. Signs symptomx of toxicity too. Pt. safety is #1 so some drugs are high alert ex: digioxin, and such where you must take an apical pulse and decide if you will hold, or give med based on that. For each body system you study look at the drugs and study the drug category.
Know your cardiact drugs, renal, anticoagulants, GI, a few antivirals, cancer drugs. For the most part you can figure out a drug by looking at its name.

BOOKS: Saunders Comprehensive review, it has the drug section after every body system, it lists everything that I mentioned on top. Kaplans is good too but i like saudners for content review.
Good luck! and consider these purchases as an investment time spent looking for free stuff is time lost from studying.
