Hi,
I just have a question for nurse managers, or anyone who wants to give advise for that matter.
I would LOVE to get a job in NICU or a Special Care Nursery. I check the hospital job sites weekly to see if they have any openings for that area and today I happened to look at a hospital that had a new grad SCN job posting; the problem is I am not a new grad, BUT I would need to be trained kind of like a new grad since I have no experience in that nursing area.
Do you think it would be worth it to just apply, or should I call HR and ask if it would be acceptable for a non-new grad to apply? I just finished my B.S.N., so I am hoping that may help.
Thank you for any advise!

I would be on the phone with HR as soon as my eyes were open...and at least a cup of coffee drank! Good luck!
LOL, thank you for the response. I don't drink coffee, so I will skip that! :)

Maybe hot chocolate or tea? Good luck!
I could go for the Hot Chocolate :)
I called, they said apply, so I did. Only time will tell... Now hurry up and wait!

I agree, good idea to apply. All they can do is decline to interview, but you will never know if you don't try.
Good luck!
