Hi Everyone!
I am back for round two of applying:) I still have yet to review my application for Winter quarter and am hoping to do that before the Holiday. I was awarded 102.9 points this last go-around, but can confidently say that I will have 105.9 for Spring. I sure hope that is competetive!
Where is everyone else? It looks like this is that last cohort that will not be required to take the nursing placement test. AHHHHHH!
I look forward to hearing where everyone is! GOOD LUCK!

Hi Mpaige5! Fall quarter isn't quite over yet, so still have a couple of weeks and a final before I officially know what my points are going to be, but I think I should sit around 108-109. Definitely hoping that's competitive, since it seems to be increasing incrementally every quarter.
They shifted the application period forward a week, ending on January 10th, which means once we apply, we should hear back around February 21st.
Looking forward to a shift in gears from pre-reqs to the actual program!
Good luck!
Hi there!
Yes, it does seem like the points are climbing each quarter. I would say you are definitely competitive! Would you be willing to share a quick breakdown of where your points came from? For me, I have mostly A's (A&P 1&2, Chem, Eng,) but the 3.2 in Micro brought my points down and then a 3.5 in Psych and 3.3 for stats. Those were my lower grade classes. I really wish I would have retaken Micro this last quarter! I also have all my bonus points, as well as all points possible for volunteering, and now I will be applying this quarter with CNA experience. I was just tying to evaluate where there might be an opportunity to gain more points, but my only option would be to re-take a class.
Looking at this last cohort, if I had 105.9 (which I do now) I would have been accepted, but it would have been close!!! The cutoff was 105.65 I believe.
Are you applying anywhere else?
Hi again, I will receive the full points for work experience and for volunteering, my lowest grade is a 3.5 and I have done all the other things to get the points that are obtainable.
It does seem like the only option for you would be to re-take a class, because you're ticking all the other boxes! But, it seems that you shouldn't need to worry about that with the amount of points that you have now.
I'm not applying anywhere else for now. I would prefer to go to Shoreline because of the school's reputation of having a solid program. If I don't get in, I will apply more broadly in the fall.
Are you applying elsewhere?
That's awesome!!
Yes, Shoreline is my front runner right now. I am also applying to UW as their requirements really look at the Well-rounded student. We will see! I actually am excited about being able to write an essay to explain my love and excitement for nursing:)
After applying to Shoreline and UW I will probably also consider a few other programs.
Where are you taking prerequisites?

Hey Paige!
I'm applying for my second go-around as well. Unfortunately I wasn't able to increase my points from the last application so I'm still at 104.85, I'm hoping the minimum is a little bit lower this year. I would have to retake a class (probably Micro since that's my lowest grade) in order to earn anymore points.
I'll also be applying to the part time program when that opens up. I work full time at Evergreen Hospital as a CNA in the maternity center and I also fill in as a barista at my old coffee shop when they need help. I have a mortgage and a wedding (yayyy!) to pay for so cutting my hours isn't really an option. Anyone else thinking of applying for it as well? Looks like I'll have to take the new placement test for that application so I bought a study book.
My birthday is Feb 17th so an acceptance letter around that time sure would be nice í ½í¸í ½í¸‰
Once again, good luck everyone!
Also, anyone else having this problem?
I finished my application and was reviewing it before I printed it. I noticed under the "cards included in this application" section that my HIV/AIDS certificate wasn't listed. I went back and made sure I clicked on it and pressed save. Again, only my CPR and First Aid cards were listed. I even went as far as deleting and re-doing the entire application and I still can't get it to show up.
I can't remember if it did this on the last application as well and maybe I just didn't catch it?
Yes, I've heard that about UW also. I just really want to keep the costs down as long as possible through this education process.
I've been taking my pre-reqs (again) at Shoreline.
I've noticed this also T_Petes. Not sure what is up, I'm hoping that I can just check the boxes once I print it out? Do you recall if that is possible?
Yes, same experience. Unable to check that box, along with the quarter I am applying to (6 or 10 quarter) I submitted and will change it on my printout:)
Ya I printed it out and just wrote it in on the application. Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this!
Ok, good! Well, let's hope this is our quarter to get accepted!!! Hoping I did everything right this time around:) if we are accepted into the Spring cohort does this mean we have the summer off?
