SFSU Nursing or CSU Sacramento Nursing

Published

I got into both schools and i dont know which school has the better nursing program. i'm just wondering which one i should go to.

I think they are both good schools. I would choose based upon where you would be the happiest. And where would you like to live and work after graduation.

I go to SFSU right now (pre-nursing)-it's nothing to rave about. I've heard great things about Sac State's program. They are both extremely competitive so I think it comes down to what city you want to live in =)

Oh and congrats!!!! Mind if ask what your application looked like? Did you apply to any other CSUs?

CSU Sac has already sent out acceptance notices?

CSU Sac! Especially if you want to try for the "new" FNP / PA programs gearing up at UC Davis. I should mention that am biased against the Bay Area. Before nursing I was an software engineer in the Bay Area and got 'dot-bombed' during the late 90's. Didn't really like the job or location too much anyway. :twocents:

Congratulations and Good Luck!

Wow, I find that surprising that Sacramento State would give an acceptance 15 days after their deadline.

Where do you live? Which is closer to your home? Which one will be offering you clinical placements that will expose you to places that you would prefer to get your foot in the door for possible post graduation employment?

Gerrafe did you get accepted into the school or the nursing program? I know someone who applied there and found out she got into the college but hasn't heard yet about the nursing program.

Same here Batmik. I haven't heard of anyone getting into the actual nursing school yet.

SFSU is closer to my house. I am leaning towards sac state but I'm not sure still. I only got into the school but, I want to go to the school that has the better nursing program because it might be easier to get it and I would keep all of my credits

Neither nursing program is easy to enter. You might not have a choice between the two.

Does anyone know when they are going be mailing about acceptance and rejection letters for Sac State? I am extremely nervous!
