Several questions about NP

I've either read somewhere or heard that by 2015, NP's will have to have a Doctorate degree in addition to BSN/MSN. I would love to be an adult NP but I live in a really rural area and may have to commute to the nearest city to find a competitive salary. I was told by an NP here where we are, that despite several years' experience, she is still at an entry level salary and she is working with another MD.

Can someone link me to a site that states what state you can work independently in as an NP? Thanks!

Hello, Michelle,

We moved your post from an off-topic thread to its own thread in the NP forum.

Read through this thread about the DNP: Doctoral degree to become an NP???

And, this thread will answer your questions about states: What are the BEST and WORST States to practice as an NP?
