Seton RN Residency October 2015

Published

Wondering if a thread for this cohort exists!

If not, here we go y'all!

So like many, I applied for the majority of their job openings. Has anyone heard any news? Specifically interested in the women's health position!

I've been curious to know if anyone has heard anything myself. Thanks for starting the thread.

Thanks for starting a thread! I have been hired for an ED position. :)

I have my health health screening Sept. 17.

Hope y'all hear back soon!

I interviewed for a telemetry position and two ICU positions. Already received a decline e-mail for one ICU. Now just waiting to hear back on the other two.

I'm guessing that means you already received your offer letter? I'm wondering if Seton pays normal rate during their RN residency program or if it's reduced?

Yes, I have already received my offer letter. They pay normal rate.

I interviewed with Oncology and Pulmonary. Still waiting to hear back.

I interviewed for Seton Hayes and Seton Southwest L&D on a panel interview back in August. Got a denial from Seton Hayes last week or so. Anxiously waiting to hear back from Seton Southwest. Anyone know how long it will take to hear back? It's only a month away, so I'm getting anxious to hear back soon.

Since I hadn't heard back from SSW, I contacted the recruitment coordinator for that hospital. She informed me that they had to close that position due to budgeting and other problems. I don't know if these problems have affected other openings, but I figured I'd share with you guys just in case any others haven't heard back and are wondering. I'm not saying that this is what it means if you haven't heard back, I'm just saying that this at least was the case with SSW L&D.

Hello everyone,

I'm in February Cohort eager to start the residency. I've completed background check and health screening.

What do you think of the residency so far? What is it like for the first couple weeks??

Congrats! Where will you be at?

The first week is a mixture of on your unit, speciality classes depending on what area you work in (I'm in ED), & a ton of modules!

Let me know if you have any other questions :)

Hello yellowpaprika! Im also a February Cohort. I will be doing my health screening this January 12. Where will you be at and what unit?
