Senior Home Care RN Compensation?

Published

Need help - Wondering if someone would know of the going compensation for 'RN Senior Home Care' position? i.e. driving to clients home, doing initial assessment (8 page form), writing up a care plan, doing 90 day F/U visits,Training/Supervising CNA's.

I have interviewed with 3 companys. One offered 29/Hour + 45 cents/Mile ( allowing 1 hour for assessment). One offered 29/Hour + 60/Mile ( allowing 1 hour for assessment and some additional time for form filled out at home). One offered 30/Assessment and no mileage ( allowed 15 min for form filled out at clients). They are all PRN positions.

Apparently they do not pay for your time spent driving. Only the time with the client, and filling out forms. Does anyone know accurately how long it takes to fill out these forms. None of them would show me their forms. Not sure what is reasonable? Could someone advise ? These are non- medical licensed companies but Georgia requires an RN assessment and quarterly F/U. I have to make a decision soon. Just wondering how much I would actually make?

Thank you so much :nurse: !

I did something like that once through an agency and I was paid a flat rate of $65 per assessment did not get millage, I was able to squeeze in 2 assessments in one day and with driving and filling out the forms it filled in an 8 hr day, to me it wasn't worth the headache of all the paperwork, for the small amount of pay

:) Thanks for your input!
