Hi, it's comforting to know that I'm not alone in this long and draining job search. I have also been looking for a nursing job for almost a year now. It's been so difficult to find a stable full time employment as a RN even with years of experience in an acute care and long term care. Now I'm worried that these experiences are becoming outdated since time is passing by and still with no luck in finding an opening. I have turned into refreshing my skills through certification and ce courses but this seems not to be helping in landing a job. Now its becoming too costly. I really appreciate getting an advice about this, especially in networking and how to obtain referrals for a nursing job. I've been having a hard time getting referrals after leaving a job. Anyway, salute to all nurses. It's Nurses week!!!

Why don't you go back to your past places of employment in acute care and LTC and see if they are hiring?
