Hi, guys. I've been looking for a forum for Seattle Uni BSN Program but there's none so I decided to make one. I'm applying for transfer/second degree program. I already have my B.A in psychology. Feel free to share anything. How's everyone's stats?

Hi. Thanks for starting this forum. I am currently a junior student in UW and also going to apply for the SU BSN program.  I volunteered in the UWMC oncology ICU before (about 200 hrs). Now I volunteer in the Swedish Medical Center (pediatric, postpartum, acute rehabilitation, and labor and delivery) about 380 hrs. I finish my personal statement and still work on my resume. My GPA is only 3.3, not standout at all. I am very nervous about this application process. Hopefully I can get into the program because I really want to be a nurse.

Hi @ziwxu. I'm applying for second degree/transfer. I have a 2.65 major GPA so I feel very nervous. It's very hard to find jobs/internships right after uni so I don't have much experience except volunteering at Stanford Children's Hospital (100+ hours). I'm hoping SU will look at my application holistically and that my essay will help me make the cut.

Hi,

I'm currently a student at BC and I'm also applying to SU's BSN program this year. My stats are: 3.93 GPA cumulative, approx. 3.89 prereq GPA. (I'm currently in microbio and gen. chem, and I still need to take lifespan psych and a college algebra class). I have about 650 hours working as a CNA at a retirement home, and I'm apart of the medicine and docs & dents club at my school. I'm still working on my personal statement, but I'm relatively close to finishing!

Hi @brendamatadiaz

Does that mean 4 classes will be pending by the application deadline? I think on the website it says that we need to have 7/10 pre-reqs completed.

Your stats are amazing btw!

Hey! @tropicalbreeze

So I have all of the prerequisites done besides lifespan psych and college algebra. I went to one of the info sessions and they said we can count our “in progress” classes as part of our 7 completed prerequisites. I know 7 isn’t a lot but I’m hoping to secure a A in both microbio and gen. chem and hopefully that’ll boost my chances.

Hi everyone! This will be my second time applying to Seattle University's BSN. I applied back in 2017 for the 2018 cohort and was waitlisted. I took a couple of years to focus on work and explore other career options and ALAS, nothing in the career fields I've explored has made me forget how much I want to be a nurse. So here I am again. I have a BA in public health from UW, 3.4 cumulative GPA and 3.5 cumulative for prerequisites. I have about 4 years of CNA/PCT experience. Keeping my fingers crossed that this year pans out better for me because I'd love to go to SU. Good luck to everyone!

Little update: I just submitted my application, but now I'm curious if we have to apply to the University as a transfer student for fall 2020. Does anybody know if we have to?

Do you know what kind of questions will they ask?
