Anybody know anything about them? There is an opening for someone with pedi experience but my only knowledge of them is the institute in SoCal. I can't get any info about them, was just told to apply on line if I was interested. I think the local one is a clinic.

I already checked the website out, it didn't tell me anything. Does anyone know anything about them? Reputation, personal experience, anything?

The values evident in upper management (IMO) are excellent. The ones @ my facility make rounds frequently. Any one can send them an e-mail w/a problem related to the hospital and they will try to help you. Every year we get a "great place to work" survey. In our unit, we make a "wish list", and every one puts it on their survey in the comments section.
They do some "little things" that are very nice, e.g., you're entitled to a free 20 minute chair massage 6x/year, and you can buy tickets for more, $30 for 6 coupons.
They do nickel and dime us on "mandatory" classes, but no worse than another institution @ which I've worked. If it's mandatory, we get paid.
I like it. There are 5 hospitals in the system, Scripps Mercy Hillcrest gets the most trauma, I think, Scripps La Jolla probably a close 2nd. Those 2 are the biggest in the system. Scripps Green is also in La Jolla and is the most prestigious, and the most involved in research (It used to be Scripps Institute in another life, very noted as a diagnostic center.) It usually gets the highest score on the "great place to work" survey.

As I recall, Scripps Mercy in San Diego was listed as one of the top 100 hospitals in the US...and Scripps La Jolla, is a Magnate Hospital...

They are a great company to work for. Self-scheduling and excellent managers. Benefits are great. I pay $50/month for everything from acupuncture to chiropractic, including a good vision/dental plan, life insurance and disablitiy insurance.401A is matched 3%. 12 PTO/2 weeks. Mentors are in every unit on all shifts to answer questions and assist with difficult patients, also to give a second opinion. I'm not sure how the clinics are run, but my impression of Scripps has been positive.
Thanks but the position was filled. Darn. Everything I'm hearing is great. It was in the peds clinic, too, which I would have absolutely loved.
