Where do you find information on the meet and greet ?

Sorry, msg88, I thought I had this bookmarked to email me whenever there was a response, I guess not.

The meet and greet was last Friday. Basically there were booths set up for each department and some of the nursing managers were answering questions, giving tours, etc.

I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner, hopefully you found information about it through another source.

Did you apply to the internship? Have you heard anything? If so, what department?

No I haven't applied cause I'm still trying to see if I can get something in the DFW area which I live. But I still see they have positions open. I just wish they did some relocation assistance.

Are yall talking about the scott and white internship in temple? I recently had a classmate accept a position in the OR there.

I applied for the ICU internship. The director sent me an e-mail asking 4 basic questions about the 2 year commitment, which unit I preferred, why Scott&White, and my expectations for the program. If selected for an interview, interviews will be the first week of December. Has anyone else heard anything? I spoke to a recruiter about the Meet and Greet, she really encouraged me to attend, because apparently some people were offered job positions a few days after (this was for their last Meet and Greet in April), but I couldn't justify the expense since I live on the east coast and nothing would be guaranteed, and I would have to fly to Temple again if granted an interview.

The Director sent me the e-mail on Tuesday, I replied this morning because I have been so busy and exhausted from work. Hope I'm still in the running.

Hey itrust,

I take it from your last post that you got a spot? If that's the case then first off, congrats and secondly, we'll be interns together. I've been living in Temple for almost four years now so if you need any suggestions for housing let me know. Where are you from? Are you a new grad? I just finished my BSN program yesterday and am really excited to start at S&W, it's a great hospital.

Thanks Flyonn! Congrats to you too, I'm going to be in the CTICU as well. I'm trying to decide if I should live in a temple or a nearby city were the social scene is more forgiving, but I don't want to deal with too much traffic. I like temple, but it seems like it gets really quiet at night. I live out-of-state. I'm not a new grad, I have about a year of experience in acute care, but I doubt it's going to give me an advantage since it's in a completely different specialty and was not in the ICU.

Hey itrust, I was looking through some of your older posts and am I correct that you are from NJ? I was born and raised in Montville (near Morristown) and lived there until I moved to Temple four years ago.
