Hi I will be working soon in a govt hospital here in NSW.. My question is, what tasks are we allowed to delegate to EN or AINs here in Oz? I really need clarification :o

Yes, overseas. But we only delegate taking vital signs in my past work. We also do not have ENs..

Your ENs may have their own patient load depending on how your ward profile is, alsonyour AIN may be running pathology down, dropping patients to radiology etc. A lot is going to depend on your ward profile. When you start talk to your NUM about what your ward does. EEN can do most of what RN can do, check their scope of practice. However it also depends what your hospital lets them do.

Thank you for the information. :) I am currently studying their scope as well. As for the ward profile, I will be starting to work on a casual pool so I guess they will vary. Excited and a bit panicky for next week!
