Florida Technical College (FTC) is a private for-profit institution with multiple campuses across Florida, established in 1982 as part of National University College. The Orlando main campus opened in 1982, followed by campuses in Jacksonville (1984), east Tampa (1987), Lakeland (1990), and DeLand (1997). Classes began in Kissimmee in April 2011, with additional campuses opening in Pembroke Pines (November 2011) and Cutler Bay (January 2015).

FTC offers a comprehensive nursing program through NUC University, providing both associate's and master's degrees. Selected FTC campuses offer an Associate of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Additionally, FTC offers three online Master of Nursing programs and an RN-to-BSN program, all designed to prepare students for fulfilling careers in nursing.

Hands-On Learning Experience

The goal of the nursing programs at FTC is to provide students with a comprehensive education in all fundamental areas of the nursing profession. The curriculum covers complex legal concerns in healthcare settings and emphasizes the development of strong communication skills essential for interactions with patients, families, and professionals. Students can practice and hone their skills through hands-on learning using simulated environments that closely resemble actual clinical situations. Additionally, the program offers clinical experiences in various healthcare facilities, including clinics, hospitals, and community health organizations.

Mode of Learning 

The ASN and BSN programs are offered on campus. The institution has  6 campuses in Florida, and the ASN and BNS programs are available at the Kissimmee, Orlando, and Tampa campuses. 

The RN to BSN and MSN Programs are online programs. 

NCLEX Pass Rates

The NCLEX pass rate is 88%, highlighting the exceptional quality of the nursing education provided at the institution.
