This program teaches students about specimen collection, infection control, electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation, injections, and sterilization. Additionally, they will learn how to assist with minor surgeries and prepare patients for diagnostic tests.

At InterCoast Colleges West Covina, students in the medical assistant program complete 900 hours of intensive instruction and homework over 40 weeks. The goal of this challenging program is to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical experience needed to become exceptional medical assistants.
