The PN program is located on campus at CCBC Dundalk and offers two admission tracks, Transfer and Career.
Track1 Transfer Track - The Transfer track is available to students who successfully complete the PN and want direct admission into the RN program.
Track 2 Career Track - The Career track is designed for students who want to go directly into their career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. The prerequisites will be required if later the student would like to start the RN program.
After completing the PN program successfully, graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN). The PN program takes one year to complete, or three semesters.
LPN to RN Bridge
The LPN to RN Transition course (LPN Bridge) is designed for students who want a traditional 12-week face-to-face fall program at the Dundalk campus. After successfully completing the LPN program, students are able to go through the LPN bridge program courses and be admitted into the RN traditional day program. Students will enter the program at the beginning of the second year of the RN program. LPNs do not have to wait.
