Clayton State University is a public university in Morrow, Georgia. The institution was founded in 1969 and was originally known as Clayton Junior College. The university serves Metro Atlanta and is a selective Senior Unit of the University System of Georgia. The main campus is surrounded by 192 acres of wooded grounds, featuring five lakes and a park-like atmosphere. In 2005, the name was changed to Clayton State University. The Nursing Program was founded in 1969 and has provided quality nursing education since it was established. The Nursing Program is renowned for having one of the most diverse student populations in the country while consistently achieving a high NCLEX pass rate among its graduates.

NCLEX Pass Rates

Mode of Learning
The BSN program is offered on campus, while the RN to BSN, MSN, and graduate certificate programs are offered online to accommodate the schedules of working students.
Admission/Acceptance Rate
The university's application and admission processes are not the same as the nursing application process. Space is limited, and admission is competitive.
Note: Clayton State University's MSN Family Nurse Practitioner program cannot accept NP applicants from eCompact states; however, all clinical rotations/preceptorships must be completed in the state of Georgia.
