Carrington College's roots trace back to 1967, when it was founded as the Northwest College of Medical Assistants and Dental Assistants in Sacramento, California. Carrington College was created to fulfill the educational needs of the local healthcare community. Over the years, it underwent several name changes and expansions, and in 2010, it adopted its current name, Carrington College.
