Baker University is a private institution in Baldwin City, Kansas, and was founded in 1858. The University is the first four-year university in Kansas and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The university consists of four schools and serves nearly 4,000 students across its campuses and online. The School of Professional and Graduate Studies and the graduate branch of the School of Education serve nontraditional students in Overland Park, Kansas, and online. In addition, the School of Nursing, operated in partnership with Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, offers both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and an online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Hands-On Learning Experience
BSN students at the university benefit from completing an additional 62 hours of required nursing courses at the Stormont Vail Health campus in Topeka, a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence designated by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
In addition to rigorous nursing education, students also enjoy two years of traditional undergraduate life, including participation in clubs, organizations, sororities, fraternities, residential living, campus events, and varsity athletics, all while preparing for a fulfilling nursing career.
NCLEX-RN Pass Rate
Baker University's nursing program boasts a first-time NCLEX pass rate of over 90%, thanks to its strong emphasis on clinical experience, patient care, and comprehensive preparation, including NCLEX tutoring and review questions. Admissions at Baker University
The admissions process is rigorous, requiring prospective students to undergo multiple stages for program admission. Applications must be submitted by December 31 for fall semester consideration and by August 10 for Spring semester consideration. If space is available, applications are accepted until July 1 for fall start and December 1 for Spring start.
