    My Experience

Attended the satellite school in Lambertville MI. One night, four hours a week, six or it might of been seven weeks for each individual class with one week break in between. Classes were a cohort. Free Methodist school so papers required for assignments could reflect one's own spirituality and beliefs. No tests, no clinical. Every week numerous APA format papers. Requirement was that one had to be an RN for two years. I attended, I learned, I graduated. There was a beginning and an end, no "sorry we threw in a basket weaving crap class." I had met all my college prerequisites except for speech so I took that class on three eight hour consecutive Friday and Saturdays. I think this location is closed but I believe the satellite school is renting space at Owens Technical College in Ohio.

    About The Staff

Very friendly, like family. First name basis, not a number. Financial aid was handled through the main University at Spring Arbor. Books were included in tuition and tuition was locked in as long as you did not drop a semester. Instructors were knowledgeable, class instruction (more like interesting conversation) encouraged differing opinions, critical thinking, and the incorporation of varied clinical experiences.

    Things To Know

Age of nurses in my class ranged from 24 to 62 years with 2 to 29 years nursing experience.
