Aspen University School of Nursing offers online, CCNE accredited Bachelor of Science (BSN), Registered Nurse to BSN, Master of Science (MSN), and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) nursing programs.
Great support from this school while taking classes online. Was able to complete my BSN in less than 10 months.
Professors were very helpful and the advisors are constantly checking up on your classes to make sure everything is fitting in to your schedule properly.
The University itself is good, I had no problems with the classes. The problem is that they are Nationally accredited, not regionally accredited. My new employer wont take my degree because they want regionally degrees from regionally accredited. And...for my new employer, I don't have a MSN.
Have no complaints during the time I took courses at Aspen.
Well-designed program for working adults or busy parents seeking higher education. Asynchronous, and extremely flexible. This is the only way that I could have earned my MSN! Aspen caters to adult learners by facilitating self-study. Be prepared to spend 17-20 hrs a week/class, but you'll learn a lot! I especially appreciated the standardized format for courses. Every course looked the same, with the same type of assignments and due dates each week.
From the top down, staff have been extremely available and supportive of student success.
I personally recommend Aspen to friends and family.
The CCNE accreditation, low cost (military discount), self-paced scheduling, and high quality program is why I selected Aspen University. I enjoyed the courses in the specialty track for nursing education and appreciated the expert professors, teaching the classes.
The staff in the Advising and Nursing departments have always been extremely helpful and encouraging.
I was looking for an asynchronous way to earn a MSN that was affordable in which there were not a lot of barriers. This program afforded me all this--and I grew as a person and a professional!
Every staff member was helpful.
They also have Forensics, Informatics, Education and Public Health to choose from for the MSN and just opened a DNP.
