how do schools view students who take some or all pre-reqs online?

At my school it doesn't show on my transcript if a class was taken online or in person so they won't know how it was taken. I took everything but my science and communications classes online and I just got accepted toy ADN program :)

I agree with the PP, all my electives have been online & the schools I am applying to can not see that on my transcript.

I was told by the nursing advisor that they do not look at or care about whether a class was taken online or in-person. However, make sure that the school you want to apply to, will transfer in your online course.

Yes, I agree with dsb_fam, because the college I attend will not accept any online sciences for the nursing program.

It really depends on the college. Great question!

I have gotten mixed responses from advisors. However most have a common consensus. Online for NON science prereqs is ok but for sciences, it needs to be a physical/live class. Ask each of the schools that you are interested in what their policy is before taking anything though to be absolutely sure.
