This is for aspiring second coursers who plan to take BSN as their second undergraduate degree. Do not fret there are many reputable nursing schools which are open to deserving second coursers. It just takes time and critical thinking in choosing which one. My only advice is that do not rely just on this page. Visit the school as this will give you the whole picture. Inquire as often and do thorough background research. You will be investing your money, time and your future. I only did Step 1 in searching process and that is which schools accept 2nd coursers. The rest depends on you. As you can see, it is not complete and I only put relevant information in schools that I have visited for myself or have researched. Please send me a PM or post here if you have any new information you can share. I'll be glad to edit the masterlist. I may have missed out other schools, just let me know. Goodluck!

thank you for coming up with this much needed list. it's a BIG effort on your part. you should be commended. i'm sure it will help a lot of people now and in the future and they will always thank you.

great job, gemini star! the list will surely help a lot of kababayans...thanks!

Your welcome.:penguin:

Great information!!

I just want to so THANK you so very much for sharing this info. It is immensely helpful. I am a US citizen looking to take PT night classes here in Manila. I am going to check out U of Makati and Phil Women Univ first. If anyone has any good leads on schools that offer well-run night programs please let me know!!!

i hope this can also be posted as a sticky. it will help a lot as it is often asked by those who are searching for schools for 2nd coursers.

is it ok with the forum moderator/administrator?

thanks. :balloons:

hope this helps.. i asked for the base amount of regular incoming students so we can know the range of their tuition... they all accept 2nd coursers or transferees like me who has some kind of situation since i stopped for quite sometime... some of them would be more than willing to answer your questions while some would be so blunt as if saying we don't need anymore students... the last two colleges weren't included on the list but my friend provided the numbers after knowing am going back to school...can't wait for monday for assessment of my subjects if any would be credited... by the way, i also learned that UMAK has the Regis program so fo those who're working in the mornings has the chance to go after work... the guy i spoke with also told me that you have the option to go to the provinces where they are sent (davao) to finish or complete your DR/LR/Nursery cases i'm not in favor of staying there for 2-3wks just to finish my cases...anyway, will be posting what happens if i get the chance to visit them...call them first before dropping by...

I'm not really familiar with nursing schools in Davao. Thanks for mentioning it. I will include it in the list soon. ;)

Anybody can advice?

I need an honest advice,If you're in my situation , what's the best decision ,I need to move right now 'cause of my age 47.(BSN RN '81,practiced my proffession 3years for long past years, after that I didn't practice nursing but contineously renewing my license up to now.I've been reciding for 19 years in Japan as permanent resident ,I have a caregiver certification since 2004 in japan but I didn' apply for it for some reason. Now I'm really confused, some adviced me to be back in nursing ,there's still as big chance but I really need to refresh my mind before taking Nclex or any nursing test;I'm planning to go to Phil. but what action should I do, is there a refresher course there or is the review conducted there enough to refresh my mind for the test?;If I go to Canada as caregiver first and then take their refresher there and take their RN test (cause they don't consider our license in Phil.)To go to another country from Japan as tourist is easier than from phil.but I'm confused ,really confused which is the best plan and way for me, Let's say a last decision to be carefully plan anybody can help? Thanks.
