Would anyone recommend working a fulltime job ( Night Shift) while completing a BSN program? Is it possible? I am not sure what the program schedule will be like - but I can not afford not to have a job at this time. What do you guys think?

I did it with an hour and a half commute to school. It worked while it worked. You have to be in good health (very good health) and have your car in good repair and/or have good arrangements for transportation. You can’t afford to procrastinate with school assignments. In other words, manage yourself well. My plan went kaput when my full time job laid me off and I could not pay my mortgage.

I've worked full-time throughout nursing school as a single parent (set to graduate in May). Time management and organization are key.

The only hiccup you may run into working night shift is clinicals tend to start in the early morning (my last set of clinicals, for example, was two 12hr shifts starting at 6:30 Sat and Sun mornings).

Many of my friends worked full time while going to nursing school. Towards, the 3-4th year of nursing school some of them switched to part-time because it was getting hard for them in regards to clinical & studying etc.. I only worked per diem throughout nursing school.

You can definitely work full time while going through nursing school, just keep in mind that you have to stay organized and time management is important. If you're struggling to keep up with both, it may be better to work part-time if possible. (Or if you can find a job that is flexible, it'll be even better!)
