in school, looking for an out-of-state job, any tips?

I am a nursing student in my 3rd semester of a BSN program in South Dakota. The program I am in will be finished and I will be graduating in late August of 2012. My question has to do with finding a job. My school helps with preceptorships and finding a job in this area, but the problem is that I have absolutely no interest in working here. I stayed in SD for school because of the price. I have not decided where I want to move yet, but have a couple places in mind... mostly places in the south.

I've been putting a lot of thought into what I want to do when I graduate and considering I have less than a year left of school, I really need to get going on planning things out.

I am wondering if anyone can help me out on all of the things I need to consider if I am hoping to find a job somewhere else as soon as I pass the NCLEX and am able to get a license.
