Scheduled my exam! Any one else testing next week? (July 7th)

Published

I graduated on May 12th and it's been a LONG wait for the state to finally issue authorization to test with Pearson. July 7th at 8 AM is the big day.

Our nursing program gave each graduating nurse a scholarship "gift" of the Kaplan 4-day NCLEX prep. I've been doing practice Q-Bank questions nearly every day. So far, I'm doing pretty well on the trainers & Q-Banks. I simply cannot wait to get this over & done with. I have a job lined up and I cannot start until I pass the NCLEX, per their policy.

Anyone else taking their exam next week?

So, I had my employee new hire physical today and had to fill out all my paperwork at HR. It was so strange hearing everyone calling me "the new RN" :D I kept thinking "is that really me?" It still feels surreal, doesn't it?

I start my new job on the 27th. I'm so excited!!!!!!

I have finalized my admittance to BSN bridge program. I have received an email from my advisor with First Name Last Name RN heading. I was like: :woot:. My jaw dropped.

Then I have received a phone call to come for an interview for nurse position. I am like: Whaaaaat? Me nurse? Oh yeah, duh.

hahhahahahah

Yeah, it still feels surreal to see "RN" after your name, doesn't it? :)

Yes! I went in for a quick chat today. People are like: "Our new nurse, our new nurse...........". Unreal. I am starting my training on Monday for home health nurse:)

Keep celebrating! You've earned it :)

I have not even yet celebretaed anything. Did not catch a breath to do so. Too much papers were to be filled out for BSN, for work application and so many things and papers still need to be looked through and sorted out. Like old college notes....I know I am not going to open them again. Book, yeah, may be but no notessss

I feel like we all became so close just because of the dreaded nclex exam lol .

Ahhh, I'm so excited to hear about everyone's new jobs/lives!

You all are going off to do AMAZING things! I have been super crazy busy looking for an apartment, packing, and moving. I waited until after I was sure that I passed the NCLEX to get an apartment close to my new job, so it has literally been a whirlwind of cleaning and putting my life into a bunch of boxes and moving it around. I feel like I haven't gotten a breather since the NCLEX. I'm sorry that I have sort of disappeared from this thread for a few days, but hopefully things will be settling down a bit and I will be checking back in again regularly. :)
