Sorry if this is a familiar topic but I am curious here.
I use my saunders review cd's to prep for tests ( I am graduating next month) and also as review for NCLEX. Almost across the board, the Saunders questions are EASIER than the questions on my exams at school. I have found the questions themselves to be easier to understand and that the answer options make more sense. and the questions in Saunders seem to be 'less picky' than the questions in school.
My question for anyone who knows: Is Saunders comparable to NCLEX in terms of difficulty/ease of the questions? Is Saunders easier? Harder?
I used my cd's to review for the test we had today, did great on the CD's and not so great on the exam at school.

I Will say Saunders questions is very specific when asking questions. And I find it very helpful especially for a foreign student like me coz knowing we are reviewing this time.. Its really best for us to understand the rationale of each questions or topic we are studying right.... IF we already know the basic, we can't go wrong.. No mATTER HOW TRICKY, HOW HARD Other questions, OR EVEN THE ACTUAL NCLEX RN will be...HOw will u approach to such a tricky questions if u even dont know the basic thing to assess that patient with such and such disorder.....
SAunders helps me alot, as a foreign student, with their clear explanations of both right and wrong answer.. I was just an average student way back in nursing class, i would be happy to get one question right... BUT Now, With SAUnders, I am not afraid answering more and more questions everyday, of how Saunders build my critical thinking foundations to handle a question. BEfore, i keep getting 50 -70%, LAtely when i enrolled in MOSBY CAT and try if i know something already.. AND YES IN JESUS name , I already Know something, I keep getting 80-94% in their practice test... AS IN MEEEEEEEEEEeee, But YES MEeeeeeee~ And I thank SAunders alot of that....
Goodluck.~
thanks Eliza! its great that Saunders is helping you so much! I do like the way the rationales are explained.
But my problem is that Saunders is so much easier than the tests at school, and I wonder what that bodes for the NCLEX.

I totally agree that Saunders is much easier than the tests at my school. Also, I have talked to past graduates from our university and they said that the NCLEX was easy compared to the nursing tests that we have to take. Our school has a 99% NCLEX pass rate, first write. I think this is because the tests they give over-prepares you for NCLEX.
