I just purchased Saunders Q & A review for the NCLEX-RN Examination and noticed that it is dated for the 2004 test. Is this book outdated our will it still be a helpful study tool?
PS: I can't return the book because I took out the disk
Thanks

It is out of date, there has been a slight change with format and some new style questions added like Select all that apply (SATA)

New format questions have come out since that book was published. That is why there is already a 4th edition for the Comprehensive Review that is already available and has the newer questions.
You may wish to look at it, but definitely do not use it as your primary source to prepare for the exam.
Thanks for the replies...
I know that SATA questions are missing, but is anything else different?
I started reviewing the questions and just felt like they were easier than what I am used to - are the questions still good or do you think they might be too easy? I'm so upset that I have 40 dollars down the drain...

I have used Saunders Q&A the most out of all my NCLEX review books and passed. I did 100 questions on the CD per day and focused on my weak areas. It's definitely a good buy. Good luck with studying!

The 3rd edition is the "latest" the next edition, 4th will be out on December of 2008.
