Are you in the Philippines?
If you are in metro manila and want to buy the Filipino Recto version which is the reproduction copy (warning: this is illegal), try to check it at Recto or Lerma infront of PRC. For sure they have a copy of that book but I just don't know if they got the latest release.
If you want to acquire a new copy legally, try to call different review centers and check if they are using that kind of book and willing to sell it without enrolling in their review class. If not, you can buy it at Amazon.com (credit card or debit card is needed). The book cost around $46. It weigh more than 5 pounds so expect that the shipping cost will be high, maybe $30. And don't forget the tax for the custom officials in the Philippines.

hi.
you can buy the saunder's nclex review book in either national bookstores or c&e bookshop (quezon avenue & recto shops). you can call C&E bookshop at these numbers 9288943/7353474. i bought my 3rd edition in national bookstore after waiting for sometime cause it was out of stock for a month or so. i advise you to call the bookshop first & inquire for they are the one that distribute it here.
hope i was of help.
have a nice week.

Try to get the 3rd edition although the content is similar to the 2nd ed except for a few updates. Also buy the 3rd Q and A. Saunders had helped me lot when in taking the NCLEX.

hi, you can buy saunders comprehensive review and Q & A at C & E bookstores. They even carry a locally printed one which is cheaper (also with cd included like the imported book). Goodluck!

hi there, honestly, i have a weak foundation in nursing as well. however, i had kaplan and mosby's illustrated nclexrn review. i answered the practice questions like almost everyday. i did encounter many questions that i am not familiar with..what i did was, i came back to my medical-surgical textbook, (i used brunner and suddarth by the way). and read about disease or anything related to that difficult question. by doing that, not only that i learn a lot from that information, but also i learned how to connect things to another.. it's good to have a review book, but not because you have saunders or mosby, etc., you will pass nclexrn. many new grads told me that they did at least a hundred practice questions, everyday, but i wonder if they learn anything from it? maybe the only way for you to know if saunders is really enough, is that do the practice questions diligently, then if you answer everything, that's a good sign. but if you see your score and was not as good as you think, come back to that incorrect answers and find out why you have those wrong answers..if it doesnt work for you? maybe you need another book that will help you. don't buy a review book just because it worked for others, but you can also scan the book at the bookstore and see/read if you if it works for you. trust me, just because people passed nclexrn, it doesn't mean we know everything. even the well-experienced nurses here in the u.s. still have to get a continuing education seminars, or annual in-service as a requirement for work competency. take your time studying, never take nclexrn until you you are ready, goodluck!

Saunders' rationale for each question actually helped me a lot. Be sure to read them more than once. I'll pm you other references I found helpful.

The Q and A book is just that........questions and answers. If you are weak in any area, you need to have the Comoprehensive Review, that is why it is called that. It goes over everything.
The third edition is significantly different from the second which is more than six years old. You will not find any of the new format questions in the old version, as well as you will find it hard to have the matching CD for the book for the second edition version.

the books that you have are just there to help you..
you will always encounter things that u do not know.
and that what makes ur review more exciting.
do not rely on one book. knowledge and experience comes from different places and different resources (internet, books, magazines... )
try kaplan also its good..
if you for example can not answer ur own questions, try googling it...
seek and you shall find.. hehe...
