Saudi Arabia needs 2,000 nurses from the Philippines

Published

Wow, and nobody has responded to this post. I guess nobody has any interest in obtaining experience since the nursing jobs in the Philippines are scarce, and retrogression is in effect and will be for awhile. Why don't some of you who are looking for jobs as RN's try for the jobs in Saudi Arabia until/and/or RN jobs open up in the Philippines and/or retrogression is lifted in the US?

I'm really willing but unfortunately, they are only accepting female applicants:sniff: Tsk!tsk!

Specializes in icu nurse.

maybe its because it is easy to apply in k.s.a than in other countries. the requirements needed is that one should be a registered nurse, hospital experience which is 2-3 yrs, other hospitals dont require any experience at all,& an exam in ministry of health.

lots of filipino nurses are working as a staff nurse there.

Now that is straight up wrong! They're looking for nurses and willing to take anybody w/o any experience but yet they wont take males. That's stupid.

It looks like they're accepting applicants w/or w/o experience. I had a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia as an RN before coming to the US. She liked it, but she was only there until she was able to move here.

Specializes in Oncology, Medical.

Saudi Arabia would be the next hub of Filipino nurses. It's a good way to start earning experience. Just be prepared emotionally and physical before going there.

for inexperienced nurses who wish to apply, will they require exams of any sort prior to working?

I believe there is a screening exam by the SRO. If you qualify, you will take the Ministry of Health Exam either in Saudi or in the Philippines. This will be your nursing license in order to work in KSA.

it depends on the employer but they will hire without experinced.

Yeah, I've read in the newspapers that they are only hiring fermale nurses...

Specializes in Developmental Disability.

they hire undergraduates, fresh graduates and midwifery graduates as long as you have documents faked at recto, mostly they are female. the chances of a male nurse is one hundred in a million.
