NJ22 sounds like a nice Thanksgiving

Tweety have a good trip!

Stars that's a shame that your dh's family doesn't help at all

Dianah hope you sleep better tonight, glad practice went well

Went to the Arboretum for some bird watching, went to the prairie area and was the only person there.  Came home and decided to try out a chocolate chip cookie recipe.  Turned out good enough that I'll use it for coffee hour next month

Finally got together with J, for a kind of belated birthday celebration.  Was nice, and thankfully not awkward at all.  Which was a big relief for me.  We'll probably get together again early January when we have a musical, December has too much going on

Today will do some more bird watching, might get the  laundry done too.  Will meet my dad for another belated birthday celebration.  Might get some more materials and some advice on knitting, have a new project in mind

Svengoolie  has The Crawling Eye,  which I think was pretty  bad

Will be another warm day in the mid  50s here

Ewwwww, I remember The Crawling Eye, seeing it on our black-and-white TV as a kid.  Hated horror movies, they scared me too much!  Now, I can watch the old ones OK (some of them -- they're just cheesy enough that I can laugh thru them!), but not any of the new ones.  Uh-uh, No Way!

Joe, good your meeting went comfortably with J.  Hey, congrats on finding a cookie recipe you like!  There seem to be so many these days, one has to kinda shut one's eyes and point, and see where the finger lands!

I slept well, made sure to read a lot before bed, and I knew I was tired from the night before.

Have a good day!

Awakened early by the yard guy, mowing, trimming, and blowing: RrrrrRRRrrr! (That's supposed to be a roaring engine sound) Naturally I am crabby about that, but oh well, whatcha gonna do? I got up and got dressed. I am waiting for the AM meds to kick in so my achey hips and lower back will shut-up.

Joe, I would certainly think that Svengoolie's Crawling Eye would be pretty bad. Such imagery in that title!  I do remember a movie where there was a jealous pianist who killed and cut off another pianist's hand(s). The scene that freaked me out was the hands crawling across the floor to kill the jealous guy; I do remember jumping into my mother's lap at that point. // I'm so glad when you  got together with J that it wasn't awkward.

Okay, I have to write some checks to pay some bills, and I want to have some coffee before I have to get Nannie's morning routine taken care of. Hubby has three days to get her car inspected and get the sticker to put on the tag. If he would get sober, he might be a little more helpful. Ppfftt!

I'll prolly come back by here later. The pharmacy has left me a message that two of my scripts are ready, so I guess I get to go out on an errand. Not sure if hubby would be wise to drive ....   *sigh*  .....

Hey. Overcast and mid 40s. I had a good run this morning, went 4 miles. Yesterday's run was soggy and miserable and I cut it short. I am noticing more geese overhead. Apparently there was a large goose "die-off" near here, fish and game said they picked up about 400 birds who died of avian bird flu. I am cleaning out file drawers today, so that I can organize all of the retirement stuff for dh: pension, Medicare A,B,D & G, 401K, and make room for mine. I also tossed 5 years of old car insurance policies. Most of this stuff is online, but I feel like I need to keep copies of policies. We watched some episodes of the West Wing last night. I so enjoy the writing and acting. Dh is watching college football, this is the week of all the conference rivalry games like Michigan/Ohio State, Oregon/Oregon State, UW/WSU. Well, he is watching through his eyelids, LOL. I hope to get out and put up some lights. We still haven't set up our new 12' blow up Santa.

Uh, no thank you to Crawling Eye! But yes to cookies! And meds that scare off aches.

Okay, I did the pharmacy pick-ups. Both of the other people in this house are, of course, napping. I really am looking forward to Dec. 6th, hubby's appt with PCP and I am going with him, and really want him to go to rehab A.S.A.P!

Hey, all!

Riding shotgun in the pickup truck with Gma in the back seat. We went to a party for Hubs' best friend's 60th bday then got on the road back to Oklahoma.

Joe, I'm glad you had a good visit with J and it wasn't awkward. Choc chip cookies sound good, even though I have been stuffed with good food this week.

It was good to see Indiana relatives and old friends. Did not see stepson but had a pretty good text chat with him. Also didn't get to see the 2 oldest grandkids ?

Gma was in top form at the bday party, saying Hubs is her husband but I stole him. Hubs says this is evidence that she hates being around people and would be unhappy in a nursing home. As if she's happy with us.

Ado, meet ya half-way between our houses and put Nannie and Gma in a Nsg Home room together. What a sight that would be....and Ooooh, the language!

Gma would get jealous over a man and want to claw Nannie's eyes out. Might as well laugh along with the crying!

Well, y'know, Nannie thinks every male person who talks to her or even just SMILES at her, wants her! And her nails are outrageously long, too! Bring lots of bandaids!
