I am presently a psychology major in Houston, but I have always wanted to be a nurse. I would really like to get into an lvn program then later transfer and get a bachelors in nursing. Does anyone know what the tuition for lvn programs usually are at community colleges in houston?

I'm currently in the Lone Star Kingwood LVN program. Actually just got home from clinical at Kingwood Hospital!

Our tuition, books, lab materials, everything except scrubs and stethascop was about 4,000-4,500.

This is not bad AT ALL considering what you will pay in some other places. I seen people on here in talking about the cost of programs in Florida going for 15,000-20,000+ for your LPN. In Cali or New York don't be surprised to see even more!

I consider myself lucky to have had to pay that much!
