Hi! I applied for the Spring mobility track. I've been looking for some recent feedback about the program but haven't had much luck finding anything. Do you happen to know how the composite score is calculated?
Hi,
To be honest I don't know how they calculate that. /: Have you talked to nursing admissions to find out how they would? Ive only heard just a little about the nursing program. I heard some professors quit due to changes within the school. Lastly I talked to a few nursing students and said they didnt like it. One couldnt continue on to her next level because there wasnt a professor teaching the class she needed in order to move on. Ive also heard they dont actually send denial letters through email even though it says it on the nursing website. I know everyones experience is different. Just hope it isn't as bad as they make it seem.
No, I haven't talked to anyone. I don't live in the area and I find it difficult to get information from them by phone or email. Hopefully the school resolves those issues before the Spring! Good luck!!
Hopefully everything works out and thanks good luck to you to!(:

I'm in the program. So far it's been ok. Nursing school isn't made to be pleasant and uneventful. So don't expect that.
Yes, they will email you if you don't get accepted. It's usually after they email the conditionally accepted ones. They try to wait until they get theirs because sometimes people will decline their acceptance due to life or decide not to. Then they'll bump up the others. If you have any question please go see them in the office. Theyll go over your classes & show you how to calculate your score. I know I had to go down to the campus to speak to them bc they would be short with me over the phone. If your interested & serious about entering the program set time aside & go in person. They'll gladly give you more info.
They revised the curriculum, it's now concept based learning. Before they had med surge, maternity, management semesters ect.. So far I've enjoyed this new curriculum. The professors are really helpful & understanding. Please know that they require ebooks now & must purchase them all at once, either one year access or 2 year access. It's not cheap. This is the first time they required this & had a lot of complaints but honestly it's so much better not lugging around the books & having easy access to them on an iPad ect.
I've heard MANY different opinions about this program but ultimately it's what you make of it & it will provide you with the golden ticket, to sit in to take the NCLEX RN!
Good luck guys!
Thank you so much!!

Hi Ashleyy3, I applied for Spring 2015 and I got my acceptance e-mail on October 16th, now I'm just waiting to see if the nursing bon approves me to keep moving on... They said that would take ten days to know from when our names were sent to the bon and it's been past those 10 days on the 2nd of November. So I guess all that's left is to wait and cross our fingers!!!
Hi J3w3lz88,
Congrats on your acceptance! I spoke to someone at the office last week who said they sent our names to BON on Tuesday. Friday will be the 10th day, but I'm not sure if she meant 10 business days. I'm hoping to hear back from SAC by the 11th.
Also, I'm under the impression that we're just waiting on a code from BON to take with us to get the background check ourselves, but I'm not entirely sure. Have you already submitted all your other paperwork (BLS card, immunization record, insurance)? I don't live in the area so I'm waiting until my background check is complete before I make a trip down there with the rest of my paperwork.
Hey Ashme,
Basically to my understanding the BON has to give the thumbs up (a "yes") on us. then after that we began submitting all our paperwork. We will also be getting a "fast-pass" to go do our fingerprinting (criminal background check) for that we have to make an appointment there are no walk-ins. So did you get accepted as well to the Generic Nursing Program at SAC?
I was accepted to the mobility track. Do you have any idea which hospitals we'll be doing our clinicals?
