Hell, I am a student at SAC who will be starting the ADN-RN program in Spring Flex II 2012. I noticed when looking to buy my Kozier Fundamental of Nursing book that the cost is somewhere around $250 for the book that comes with MyNursingLab. However, when you look online the book on Amazon brand new is $90 and the MyNursingLab access through pearson online cost $45 which adds up to $135.
So why is the bookstores price so overpriced? I mean the bookstores usually up the charge for textbooks but not by that much. So, is there something else in the book that I don't know about?

Hi! I am starting at SAC this semester too and word of advice: the bookstores are a ripoff! I dont know exactly why, but they love overpricing! I got that Kozier book on half.com for under $70! I saved over $400 getting all my books on that website!! Hope this helps!

The teacher might have requested a new edition, which is more expensive. Check the ISBN # against the Amazon book.
If it's not a book you plan to keep, I love renting from Chegg.com. Super cheap and easy. Plus it's a cool company.

I was wondering about this too. I purchased the book and access code (w/out text) online, but I read that we need access to videos also and I dont know if this is another access code (Pretice Hall Real Nursing Skills), CD-rom, or accessed through MyNursingLab. Thinking about returning my purchases and just going to L & M to be safe. Let me know if you figure anything out :)
