Hi All -

I apologize if this question has been previously asked in the thread, I research as best as possible but the thread is long!

1. Does this school have a part time option?

2. Is it too late to apply for Spring 2010 evening program?

3. What entrance exam do they require? It didn't seem like it was the NLN but not sure? Also, does anyone know the dates the entrance exam is being offered?

Any information is much appreciate since the website doesn't provide much.

no part time, i dont think you are late for the evening program, they require nln exam but only in math and english. no science

yep i have the book.. the hardcover book is $65 and the brand new lab manual is $75

hey.. im replying to the private message you sent me here since i dont know how to reply to private messages.

if you have all the pre reqs you might be able to keep your full time job as long as you work after 2pm. classes are from 9a-2p when i was there. i dont think the time schedule changes.. all i could advice you is that try to study and get the highest grade that you get.. passing is 80 so if you get a 79.9.. you still fail.. and believe me, they wont throw you bone. they will throw you out..

Hi i'm new to this board, i apply to St. Vincent for the spring evening classes, and i was just wonder how was the NET exam, espically the Math portion. Any advice that anyone can give me would be nice.

I would like to know if these are the books required for the upcoming Fall 2009 class. Where did you get a booklist from? Also do you know what time the orientation starts and end on Thursday, 8/27?

professors are just professors.. some are caring some dont care. some professors teach somewhere else some are the mainstay of the school.. some of your clinical instructors however are mostly part time hospital nurses. those are the ones who are more knowledgeable.. the ones that dont teach and are just clinical instructors are the ones who have job as real world nurses.. no faves for me.. to tell you honestly, you have to hold your own.. and dont for one second think that just because they are nice to you they will give you a break.. nope.. they are training you for the real world so no excuses...

According to the letter sent, orientation is from 9am to 2pm. That is the current book list. The list was sent to me by the school along with the class schedule for the Fall 2009 class.

Wow, thank you. I am taking the Arnett on Monday. Do you have any tips? Was it hard? What should I focus on in the math? How long did it take you to get your results?
