I am so glad to have found this site and to correspond with all of you across the nation! :) This is so awesome! :) It is so nice to know that there are so many other women in my position- working toward their ultimate goal while managing kids, home, studying and very little "me" time. It's truly inspirational. I wish you all luck in your dream to be a nurse and it will be great to keep up the camraderie and support. We CAN do this! :):pumpiron:
P.S. I have always been a 'feine' for coffee and there's nothing better than a hot cup of joe to get you going!

True, Stay-At-Home-Moms are amazing. However, so are ALL Moms!! Including the Single Moms and Married Moms who work outside of the home!
It is not easy for any of us. We face the same challenges and we all love our kids and go without much "Me" time. We are good students, provide for our families, and care for our households. Its called Time Management something many of us on here are very good at doing well. :pumpiron:

I think every mother is amazing! It doesn't matter if your SAHM, WOHM, single mom, married mom, mom with twins, mom with 8 kids, mom with "only" one child, homeschooling moms.....we are all amazing and going through much the same thing and dealing with all the same challenges!
Damn us moms are freakin' awesome

Its nice to see other moms going for their nursing degree! Sometimes I feel all alone in my classes and its nice to come here and see that I am, indeed, not alone!

I agree that all moms are amazing.
I apologize for excluding ALL MOMS! :chair: I was reading a very lengthy thread on SAHM and just got a lil too excited! So very sorry, did not mean in any way to offend anyone on this site. In fact, I do not know how people carry 2 jobs - one outside the home and the one at home. Sometimes I so desperately yearn to have a job but it would too hard financially to afford daycare. So cheers to ALL MOMS!

I am a "quasi' SAHM! During school I work 4-8 hours/week. I have recently bumped up more during my summer break.
My nursing classes are great, they are a more mature group- starting families, already have them, or have raised their kids and are now working on something for themselves. It's good to be around people that understand!!
Good luck ladies!!

I agree you guys are amazing! Promise me one thing please. When I was in school and complained about being tired (I worked full-time) there was a chime from more than one mother.........."at least you don't have kids!!" you couldn't possibly have it as bad as me, I have kids".
Wear your badge of honor proudly, but allow us other folks to feel tired too. LOL
Off topic I know, and I just hijacked the thread, but you brought back some bad memories. That's my stuff. Now carry on. :)

I don't like one-upsmanship either . . .. but I did it the other day. Someone who comes to work at 7 a.m. was c/o being tired and I mentioned that "I" come in at 0245 and get oob at 0145 so they can't really complain. Then I thought better of it and apologized.
I was lucky in a way - my mom lived with us when I was going to school so I had someone here to be with the kids.
But it was still very hard and in some ways I regret going back to school after I had kids - my #2 son started his rebellious ways then that almost ended up getting him killed and I was gone so much that I missed some of the signs.
I pound into my kids heads that they need to complete school before they marry and have kids. So far, so good.

Hi All!
I've been a single mom, a married mom, a working mom, a SAH mom, and will soon be a full-time nursing student mom. Guess I wanted to make sure I tried it from all angles! But, yep, moms ARE an amazing bunch and it's wonderful to be on here with y'all who are in the same boat. Good luck to everyone as we work towards our goals!!
