Hi! I just found out that I got into UPenn's full time FNP program for Fall 2020!! I'm super excited but also very nervous since I'll be moving from Indiana. I don't know ANYTHING about safe neighborhoods near UPenn. Would much appreciate any and all input about which areas to avoid, which neighborhoods are safe, etc.

I'm looking for a studio or 1 bed/1 bath! I'd like to spend less than $1k but if that's impossible to find then I suppose safety comes first. But my goal for now is to try and find something in between $700-$900, near campus, in a safe area 🙂

I would recommend joining facebook groups about this and getting a roommate. There are more than likely UPENN student housing FB groups where you can find something/someone. I think 700-900 studio 1b/1ba would not be possible..I went undergrad to Temple U and thats in North philadelphia which is not as safe as UPENN/Downtown philly area, and don't think I'd be able to get 700-900 studio 1b/1ba.

You can prob get a 2b/2ba for that price with a roommate 🙂 Just make sure the roommate is a good match for you. Do what you have to do and CONGRATS!
