rv, hubby, kids...good/bad/tips/homeschool?

Published

We are looking to travel nurse in a couple months, and are going to get an rv or trailer to pull with our truck. We have a 15 month old, and a 2 1/2 year old.

Any seasoned family's out there who can offer tips for easy travel?

Any good/bad/ugly info to share on this subject?

Any checklist's you can share when traveling with family?

Any of you homeschool your kids? We plan to do that....how'd that work out in this situation?

Any replies are greatly appreciated! :wink2:

Hi , my husband who is an RT and i have been traveling for a few years now. Although we traveled during the first year in our home state, CT and then moved on to CA where my husband has been reassigned at the same hospital for the past year. I just finished RN school so I have to get a years experience before we hit the road again. We considered the RV option ...we have a 2 1/2 year old...and an 18 year old who is away at college. ..at this point i am glad that we did not choose that . If you look into monthly rentals for sites ( depending where you want to go ) they are not cheap. Then the actual cost of the RV ( if you need space and comfort) not cheap again!!! We are considering homeschooling at this point. We both have other degrees besides our healthcare degrees. We want to travel after i get some experience for at least 3 or 4 years. Good luck to you, in some ways I do wish that we had chosen that because although the housing is nice...i am not crazy about apartment living.
