Rockland boeces lpn class question

Hello and Congratulations on your Acceptance!!! :yeah: I am currently in the program. As for the uniform, there is a company that comes to the school and sells them. The program is alot of work but do-able. Just one piece of advice, it is extremely difficult to complete this program with other obligations. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. :)

Are you going to be selling your books? I've heard that the program is insane. I am very excited to start. Did you do theyear or the two year?

I probably will not be selling my books because I think im going to need them to review for the NCLEX. Im in the fulltime one year program.

I graduated from BOCES a long, long time ago. Is it for adult learners now? I was in high school when I took the LPN class and thought they had done away with that. Is it still in West Nyack?

Wow - what DIDN'T I do with it! I worked at Nyack Hospital for a while and then went into the US Army, which was my plan alll along. When I got out I moved to Massachusettes and worked as an LPN and then started nursing school. I got my Associates Degree in 1981 and eventually, in 2006, got my BSN! I teach CNA classes now. I loved BOCES and have never, ever regretted going there! As I said, I was in high school and my guidance counselor tried to talk me out of it! He said I wouldn't like nursing. What a jerk! Good luck in the program. It isn't easy but it is worth it for sure! And it can also be a lot of fun. If you love nursing as much as I do, you will soak up the education you are going to get from them! :redbeathe

Wow..that is an amazing journey!!! I can only hope that I am so lucky!!! Thank you for sharing your story with me. I am very excited to get into this new chapter of my life. Id like this to be the first stepping stone to me going far in the nursing field.

I got accepted to the full time lpn program in rockland boces will be starting in sept 2011. My ques is what does the scurbs look like what colour is it????

Can I buy regular scurbs and just order the apron??????

The scrubs are terrible! Lol they ar plain white and the with the cobblers apron foget it. But at orientation theu said we have tp buy the uniform they sell. The only.thing we can get from where ever is the shoes. But tjey do have to be all white.
