RN TO BSN PRECEPTOR

Published

Hi, I am currently trying to finish my last course at GCU which is a CAPSTONE course and they require the student to find their own preceptor. Would anyone be willing to be my preceptor? This  has been such a hassle trying to find someone willing to do this. I don't think the preceptor has to do much other than sign off on my observed 100  hours. The requirements are that you need to have 3 years experience and hold at least a BSN. It would only be for 10 weeks. Let me know please! I have attached the requirements.

Where are you licensed or area seeking a preceptor since 100 direct hours of observation needed?

Thanks for posting the current preceptor requirements! I'm in WA currently obsessing over RN-BSN programs as my state DOH requires a clinical component apparently. I find it funny the preceptor can be a charge nurse in an acute care setting when many students will already be practicing as a charge nurse themselves as least some of the time. That seems like a very helpful loophole though. If you are working at a hospital do you have a charge nurse that would help you with this?
