you really need to know what that money will buy before you make a decision. the cost of living differs greatly between various locales. Starting salary at my facility is $20/hr for new grad but new 3 bed 2 bath houses are about $150,000 so that gives you an idea. The average salary in my facility for RN's is $30/hr (experienced + new grads). Some make more of course

It's $30.25/hr base here.

I work in a rural hospital. I make $23.67/hr. with 4 yrs. experience. I make night, and weekend differential.

Specializes in NICU.

San Diego $35.00/hr, night shift diff $5, new grad

i make $45.66, 13 yrs experience

Can iI chip in even though I'm not in US? Salary differs a lot here. This is my first nursing job, I got a starting salary of 2550 euros/month at a private clinic. Evenings and weekends is like 4 euros per hour on weekdays and a bit more on weekends. If I would've gone for Norway starting salary for RN would be about 3600 euros base salary.
