Hi there, I'm an RN from Pinas. When I first came here, more than 2 years ago, I applied for NCLEX at CA BON. 6 to 7 months later, after I realized that I had concurrency issues, I applied for NCLEX in Nevada. My CGFNS-CES took almost a year to process, because I was a second courser and I went to two different nursing schools. When CGFNS-CES informed me that my result was already submitted, I was very happy. Unfortunate, I could not pass my TOEFL ibt after taking it more than twice. I had above 90 scores but my speaking section just couldn't make it through the required score of 26.
It's been 2 years of frustrations and I'm almost at the edge. The easiest thing to do is give up, I guess. One more try, I told myself, since my NV BON application in about to end, I'll try my luck in TEXAS. I've already considered the questions/ ideas of uprooting myself again, and I'm okay with the consequences if only I become a USRN. And Texas is not a bad choice anyway.
Today, I submitted and paid my RE-Evaluation for CGFNS-CES. I am hoping for the best, praying that everything will work out as planned this time. I am posting this, hoping to hear any suggestions, comments, questions or some encouragements from fellow nurses out there.
Have a nice day everyone! Keep praying.

What made you want to come here? It seems like a hot mess and a lot of money to dish out to get licensed here.
I married my high school sweetheart. He followed his parents after high school here in the US and we got separated. :) 15 years later we saw each other again, and that's how my nursing career got messed up. Maybe that's why despite all the money and time that has been waisted, I'm still trying, because I still believe that even failures happen for a reason. Ugh! (I sound so corny, I know.)

So I am guessing you have passed your TOEFL ibt? If not, can you take the IELTS instead. I heard some people having luck with IELTS. I have used TOEFL ibt on my PT degree but not on IELTS. But like I said before, there were quite number of people passed IELTS easily and able to breeze in on the speaking part as you are in front of a real person.
TOEFL Ibt score is 96 first try with 23 score for speaking section. I'm not sure if IELTS is acceptable in Texas.
