RN to NP career path, please help!

Published

Hi, I am in a unique position. I graduated nursing school in 2012, worked for about 6 months and have since been unemployed (by choice). I decided to quit and stay home when my young son was diagnosed with a condition and needed full time care. I dont necessarily have to work, but I want to eventually. Ive researched education oportunities and dont know which path I should take and wanted opinions.

I will be staying home no matter what for at least another 5 years, so I want to make the best of it. I can get my BSN online, then get a masters, then post masters also OR I could find a program that combines all of these, an ADN-NP program. In my area the closest B&M school is 3 hours away so thats not an option for me, I wish it was because Im terrified of diploma-mill type schools.

Please help!

This is my first time posting so im not sure this is even the right forum
