I have been a nurse for 7 years and have never had a run in with the law, and have had great performance at work with no questionable behavior or issues like that. I made a horrible mistake and let my depression take over and have a felony DWI pending but likely. I have spoken with a nurse attorney and when the time comes we will be trying to save what I can of my license.
In the meanwhile, has anyone had to have a change of careers or situations where you have maybe had criminal charges and needed to seek different employment? Curious what types of jobs I can even pursue as a felon, as depressing as this is to inquire.

First I am sorry you are going through this. It's scary how much influence one bad decision can have on your future and I am sure this situation you find yourself in is beyond stressful for you.
I'm glad you are already in contact with an attorney specializing in licensing issues. I am assuming that you also have a criminal defense attorney working with you? Take one day at a time and follow all the advice your attorney's give you. They are the experts best suited to guide you through this process while giving you the chance at the best possible outcome for your particular situation.
There's no point in worrying yourself quite yet about your future employment prospects. Take a deep breath, let your attorney's do their job and wait for the case to work it's way through the system so you know exactly what barriers to employment you will be dealing with.
